After working in corporate America, Selena decided to move on from the office environment to pursue a new career. She moved to Hawaii to study massage therapy and bodywork at The Maui School of Therapeutic Massage. The healing power of bodywork became her passion and led her on a four-year journey around the world; living, studying and working with different teachers, masters, and gurus on topics of bodywork, natural health practices, yoga, and vegan cooking and nutrition. In India she studied at the Sivananda Ashram and later completed Yoga Teacher Training with Chaitanya Das in Peru. In 2014 Selena and Kipi combined their passions of yoga and wilderness therapy to create Wild Yoga Retreats, facilitating Yogic Lifestyle Retreats in Israel. Selena is a certified Achology Life Coach and is passionate about supporting women to live healthy and fulfilled lives.

Kipi also completed the Living Yoga Training program at the Satchitananda Ashram in Yogaville and Is a certified Warriors at Ease Yoga Instructor, supporting the health, resiliency, post-traumatic growth, and connection of service members, veterans, and their families. He is passionate about holistic education for children and regenerative farming.
Jake Cohen (YA RYT-200) has been practicing yoga at Organic Roots since 2020 through various series, workshops, immersion, and graduated yoga teacher training in Summer 2022. Yoga has reignited Jake's passion for personal development and has taught him the skills to make lasting changes at home and work.
Kaliah was first introduced to yoga as a teenager and found herself periodically returning to classes over the years to help manage stress and anxiety whenever she lived nearby a studio. Kaliah was first introduced to yoga as a teenager and found herself periodically returning to classes over the years to help manage stress and anxiety whenever she lived nearby a studio. She rediscovered her love for yoga when she came across Organic Roots in the fall of 2020 and started taking classes again. As her practice progressed, Kaliah’s curiosity about yoga philosophy and history grew- leading her to participate in the Yoga Immersion. With the intention to further deepen her personal practice, she enrolled in Yoga Teacher Training in 2022. Kaliah is passionate about sharing yoga as a tool for self-transformation, empowerment, and healing. She feels inspired by nurturing and encouraging others on their personal yoga journey. Kaliah is also a working ceramic artist and owner of Porch Wren Pottery. She credits her yoga practice with helping her find the peace and inspiration to create and share her art with authenticity and confidence.
Brandy is collaborating with Organic Roots to support the education plan, implementation of curriculum, and also to teach yoga to the learners in the educational programs. She grew up camping along the Eastern Seaboard with her family, playing on her grandparents farm, leading camps at church and the YMCA, and earning a 2nd degree green b

She grew up camping along the Eastern Seaboard with her family, playing on her grandparents farm, leading camps at church and the YMCA, and earning a 2nd degree green belt in Karate. She holds an NK-5 Virginia Teaching License; Master's Degree in Education; and Gifted Endorsement. Brandy is a certified children's yoga teacher.
Mischelle graduated from the University of Maryland with a BS and a major in biomechanics. She obtained her graduate degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Georgia. Dara came to Organic Roots Summer of 2022 seeking support from like-minded souls in her community and joined our Yoga for the Intentional Women's group. She found this experience to be transformational not only in her yoga practice, but also in guiding her towards a truer purpose in life. Dara brings 22 years of client support combined with administration and leadership experience with her. This combined with the benefits of the internship will assist her in the journey to live in her higher self and potential.
