Family Yoga- Come have fun learning yoga poses, breathing exercises, and relaxation techniques together with your children. This is a time to play, relax, and connect. We practice individual, partner, and group poses in a fun family environment. Children 3-7 welcome with parent and/or extended family member/care-giver. Adults $12. Children free.
Movie Screening: Orgasmic Birth- 85 minute award-winning feature documentary that has aired around the world. 7 women and their partners invite you to share their most intimate moments. Parent and Baby Yoga-For caregiver/parent to bring their baby. This class is geared towards not yet crawling babies and is a great way to bond with your baby, stretch and strengthen your muscles, and learning to build a home yoga practice that you can incorporate your baby into.
Prenatal Yoga Workshop- This is a great way for pregnant women to prepare their body and mind for labor and parenthood while relieving many aches and discomforts of pregnancy. These classes embrace both the beginner and experienced student in this special time. Safe modified yoga postures that strengthen the muscles that support a growing belly and changing body are taught to aid in relieving tension caused by body changes. You will also learn yoga postures that challenge the body and mind to prepare for the challenge of labor. You are welcome to have a snack and water whenever needed during class.
Yoga (all levels)- Come learn yoga postures to strengthen and balance the body, increase flexibility, build breath awareness and mindfulness, strengthen and tone muscles, maintain a balanced metabolism, increase your cardio and circulatory health. Beginners to advanced are welcome. Proper modifications will be given to anyone with injuries.
Yoga for Stress Relief-This class will offer simple and supportive practices for dealing with stress. Learn breathing exercises, movement though yoga postures, restful poses, and mindfulness meditation to bring balance to the nervous system and calm the mind. Very suitable for beginners and seniors.
Yoga Foundations- Go deeper into what yoga really is. Learn that it is much more than just exercise. We will speak about yoga philosophy and practice the physical yoga postures, focusing on safe alignment and benefits. Come prepared to listen, take notes, move your body, and observe your mind.
Women’s Circle- This month we will begin the circle with making dream catchers, followed by a time of sharing from our hearts, journaling, supporting each other, and having fun! Wear something that you feel pretty in, and is also comfortable enough to sit on the floor (if you are unable to sit on the floor we will have a chair for you). Bring a journal and pen for writing exercises, and any snacks or drinks that you would like. Ages 15 and up welcome. Non-crawling breastfeeding babies also welcome. $5 donation for dream catcher supplies.
